COPE (Community Outreach Programme for the Elderly) was initiated and set up by South East CDC in 2003, with aims to harness the collective resources of the community to help older people (and their families) cope with the challenges of aging. Under the COPE initiative, BCCSC serves as a partner to provide the services mentioned above, as well as to help encourage individuals and corporate citizens to play an active role in the well-being of the community and to bolster the family's capacity to care for its aging members.
