Partners' Appreciation Night 2015

Time : 6.30pm to 9.00pm
Venue : 300 Bedok North Ave 3

In appreciation of our volunteers, donors and partners, Bethesda Care and Counselling Services Centre (BCCSC) held our Partners' Appreciation Night at our main centre on 17 September 2015.

The event hall was transformed into a gala dinner venue with round dining tables, a buffet spread and even a photobooth decorated with balloons. Based on the theme ” Love Connects”, the atmosphere was one of warmth and relaxation as our guest mingled and connected with good food, fun games, heartfelt sharing sessions and a lovely trio band performance with the ukulele, bass and the mandolin.

The event reached a climax during our mass line dance segment when everyone joined in to learn a new dance choreographed by our active ageing volunteers. There was also a finale song and sign language performance by the staff of BCCSC. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our volunteers and partners for their partnership for the positive difference you have made in our community.

BCCSC Awareness Week 2015
Venue : 300 Bedok North Ave 3

Bethesda Care and Counselling Services Centre (BCCSC) recently held its annual Awareness Week centered around the theme of hope - IHOPE. Through this event, we remind others that they can bring hope for a brighter tomorrow. We often underestimate the impact of a smile and a handshake. Indeed a smile, a handshake can bring hope and make a difference in the lives of the needy, neglected and frail in our community. We are the glimpse of hope that illuminates and brightens their world. It was truly encouraging to see such a positive and good response of people from different walks of life taking up new projects for our beneficiaries. The volunteers were each given a torchlight as a thank you gift for signing up, reminding them to continue shining the light in our community. It has indeed been a huge success with many new faces and several familiar faces coming forth to bring hope and make a difference to our community.

Venue : 300 Bedok North Ave 3

Bethesda Care and Counselling Services Centre (BCCSC) would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer who has embarked on this journey of transformation for the elderly. It has been a blessing to have a dedicated and committed group of volunteers who took their time and gave their best efforts in this makeover session on 3rd July 2015. The team was diverse and multi-talented taking on their roles as hairdresser, make up artists, photographer and many more. They are working professionals, yet they took time off to do community work. One cannot imagine the amount of time and effort taken to give the elderly a makeover by styling their hair and dressing them up to look their best. On the presentation party, 4th August 2015, each elderly was given a lovely framed portrait photo of themselves along with gift vouchers. They treated the elderly with a lot of care and respect. The event has indeed brightened up their day. On the finale, the elderly were even surprised with a SG50 cake as the volunteers wanted to throw a celebration with these pioneers to celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday together. The elderly felt wonderful and touched by their gesture of kindness and hope to spend time with them again. This event was indeed an enjoyable and successful one.
